Boston Celtics vs Sacramento Kings (By: Miyagi)
Those teams faced each other in Sacramento about a week ago, where the Celtics took the win (111-109) despite the fact that they missed their leader Irving who is going to be available in this game.
The Celtics had another one of their usual bad streaks but they bounced back in the best possible way, against the Warriors on the road, and started another winning streak as after that game they defeated the Lakers and the Kings in their Western tour but it came to an abrupt end in that embarrassing loss to the Clippers (140-115) at Staples Center. Usual stuff from the Celtics who have been among the most inconsistent teams that compete for the top spots.
Is a new losing streak on its way for the Celtics? Maybe, because the only sure thing is that they could easily lose to the Kings at home and things will only get worse if Smart (illness) won't dress up tonight since he is the best backcourt defender and the Kings have too much strength at guards.
The Kings are not in great form as they only have two wins (both against the Knicks) in their last 7 games but they didn't lose any of those games by more than 9p despite the fact that they have a very tough schedule. Their bench is not as productive as it used to be ever since they moved Bogdanovic to the starting lineup and lost M.Bagley to injury but their starting lineup is doing a much better job and Bagley is available to play tonight.
The Kings are 16-7-2 ATS against Eastern teams while the Celtics are 10-16-1 ATS against Western teams. Some crazy things are going on in the league as of late with way too many teams losing by 20p+ but I don't think that will be the case today, or if that is going to be the case, then the Kings should win by 25.
