Philadelphia 76ers vs Oklahoma City Thunder (By: Khum)

Regular season

Philadelphia 76ers - Oklahoma City Thunder

Early afternoon game in Philadelphia, with Oklahoma visiting the city of brotherly love.

The bookmakers estimate a high scoring game and I doubt it will be exactly so, yet there will be enough scoring in order for us to ask ourselves who's gonna score significantly.

After 19 consecutive games won by Oklahoma in this matchup, the 6ers seem to finally have the strength to compete with the Thunder.

In the last game coach Brown called a time out in the 2nd quarter and reminded the players what they have planned in the training session about stopping the opponent's 3 point shooting. They went back and for the second quarter the new approach payed dividends.

So figure this out: Westbrook struggled heavily this season from behind the arc and from mid range. Should the 76ers defend better the perimeter ... he would be more invited to drive, where he's scoring more effectively. In the paint in theory he has a big obstacle in Joel Embiid. In fact the big guy could not play and if the staff is so irresponsable to let a man with a injury history like him play through his back pain, he 1. will be less mobile and 2. will be easier to contain by Steven Adams, one of the fewest men in NBA who are not afraid of Embiid.

Moreover, the best Philadelphia defender outside Embiid, Jimmy Butler, should be ssigned to defend the best OKC scorer, Paul George. So this will also work in Westbrook's favor.

OKC should react after the lousy loss to Lakers in their last game and the man you would expect more of an reaction from is ... of course, Russell Westbrook.

Which Westbrook recorded in his last games these numbers for points+rebounds+assists: 48, 48, 41, 61, 46, 50, 47, 40, 54.

In his last games against Philly he recorded 60, 59, 43 and 53. Maybe he even likes playing against coac Brown's system

My bookies don’t offer total point+ rebound+ assist on him, they only offer total points..... do you think he can get over 24 points
