Utah Jazz vs Detroit Pistons (By: Miyagi)
Huge trouble for the Jazz as they miss Rubio and his backups Exum and Neto which leaves them with Mitchell as the small guy in only natural guard in their lineup thus they are forced to move Ingles to SG (which is more tricky than just say that he plays the SG position although he covers that defensively).
Mitchell has been amazing in his new role as a point guard, he averages 33 points and 7 assists along with 4.5 rebounds in his last three games (with Rubio sidelined). Mitchell will stay on the court for a very long time indeed maybe even more than the 38 minutes he played against the Pistons a few days ago, so, any bets on his points, assists or his combined total definitely worth to be considered.
Still, personally, I won't jump on those high lines on his points for two reasons, first of all, because when he gets cold, he gets ice cold and he could throw bricks all night long and the second reason is that the Pistons, somehow, are doing a great job guarding opposing guards recently. Though, his low line for rebounds is interesting and get more interesting considering the fact that he is inevitably going to stay on the court more than any other player. Mitchell averages 4.4 rebounds in his last 5 games and in this one, with busy front lines and some great battles for both sides (Gobert-Drummond, Griffin-Favors) and against a team that take many long-range shots, he has a fair shot grabbing some long rebounds as well as pick up some of those that Gobert and Favors will drop around the basket.
