San Antonio Spurs vs Chicago Bulls (By: Khum)

Regular Season

San Antonio Spurs - Chicago Bulls

After the worst start of a season in the past 20 years, the Spurs seem to have found their groove as of late, on home court.

For the past 4 games they won by by 38 , 25, 13, 13,, scoring 125, 111, 110 and 133 and more notably, allowing 87, 86 and 97 for the past three.

Putting it simple, they found back the Spurs way of winning by setting lock down defense and controlling the pace.

Tonight they host the Bulls, which are coming of 3 games in which they scored 91, 89 and 77, while the players are at a subtle war with their new coach and ... they come to San Antonio without their main scorer. Zach LaVine averages 23.8 for the season and he scored 28 in their other game against the Spurs this season. After the game against Orlando, two days ago, he went back to Chicago in order to have examined a left ankle injury and he will miss at least the next two games.

In these circumstances I think San Antonio is a great bet ATS tonight at -10 and I would find it very weird if Chicago will score more than 90 points in this game.

"I thought that we played a really good defensive game, and that fuels your offense in most situations," Spurs coach Gregg Popovich said. "I like to think we're getting better, more consistent defensively, and I think that showed tonight."

"Defense is a matter of repetition and forming habits, changing some habits, and we hope that we'll continue to improve," Popovich said. "Some nights, we do it very well. Other nights, we don't.

"It's not just the system, it's them reacting to each other, trusting each other, communicating with each other, that kind of thing. So you just keep working at it. In years where we were first, second or third in defensive efficiency, I bitched and moaned just as much then as I am now. So it's not much different.
