Golden State Warriors vs Toronto Raptors (By: Khum)

Regular Season

Golden State Warriors - Toronto Raptors

As some of you know I love the NBA playoff bettingwise and I use to thrive in that period.

I also love the regular season games which carry playoff flavor. Statement games, such as this one.

There is an increasing hype around the Toronto Raptors and with good reasons. GM Masai Ujiri has orchestrated another excellent move trading DeRozan for Kawhi Leonard and Danny Green and the Raptors project is one more step ahead, Toronto looking like a contending team and leading the Eastern Conference ranking while the Celtics had a blurry start of the season. And leading the whole NBA with a 22-7 record at this point of the season.

Two weeks ago,Toronto won at home, in overtime, against a Warriors' team that was missing its heart and soul, Draymond Green and Steph Curry.

Since then, both All Stars came back and the champion team looks as good as ever.

"I do feel the momentum building. I felt it before tonight, actually. We're primed to get on a little run." said coach Steve Kerr after the fourth win in a row, against the Timberwolves.

Draymond had 7 assists in his first game back and for this season the Dubs are 6-0 when he's leading the team in assists.

After his return Steph Curry is playing at MVP level, like he never missed a game. In fact I think his level is better than any season before. His efficiency is absurd this season, averaging 1.4 points scored per shot taken, 50% on 3 pointers and 56% on catch-and-shoot 3 pointers.

Let alone the fact that the new NBA sensation from Toronto needed overtime for a home win against a champion team missing their two leaders, the Raptors have played last night in Los Angeles and they are coming for the second leg of a back-to-back situation.

Leonard sat in yesterday due to some hip problems (if he wasn't simply rested}.

In the meantime the Warriors were having a comfortable day at home in awaiting of this match, where they will look to make a statement, to give Toronto a dose of reality. They won't allow to lose both regular season games against a team they could meet in the Finals, and this kind of statement game starts with a statement 1st quarter.

I think the Warriors will cover in the 1st quarter, at halftime and full time, if Leonard will play for the Raps. If he doesn't play, even better.

Let's go green!

Back 2 Back isn't always a disadvantage. Toronto for example are 5-0 ATS this season B2B.
Just saying.
Good luck here

You're right. It's not always.
Yet surely it won't be of help tonight.

Thanks and best of luck to you as well :)

Leonard is out for Toronto and that seemed to take the motivation out of the Warriors in the start ...

@One was right afterall. Hmmm

I told him he was :)

That factor became irrelevand when the Warriors came of flat.
Green 0-3, Curry 2-8, Thompson 0-5 for3 pointers .. many of them uncontested. They seemed totally disconected. And when Curry is disconected, this team is flat.
