Charlotte Hornets vs Denver Nuggets (By: Khum)

Regular Season

Charlotte Hornets - Denver Nuggets

I have no idea why the 8th team in the East is slightly favourite against the no1 team in the West.

When the West is so much better and when, despite surprisingly, the Nuggets are well deserved on that no1 spot with Western Conference wins over the second-place Thunder, third-place Clippers, fourth-place Warriors, fifth-place Lakers and seventh-place Blazers — the Nuggets have beaten almost everyone in the West’s crowded playoff race. Denver has also knocked off Toronto, sitting in first in the East, on the road.

Yeah, this Charlotte team, despite inconsistent, can be surprising at times, when they have a good shooting day with the threes, yet Denver are one of the really competent teams in the league in defending the perimeter.

The Hornets will miss Marvin Williams, which leaves them with a even bigger gap in the frontcourt than they had. On the other hand, Denver will be without their main scorer, Gary Harris. Though, they are coming on a 7 games winning streak where they won with Lakers and in Oklahoma, Portland, Toronto and Orlando without him.

When the Hornets are on a 3 games loosing streak and are yet to beat a in form team this season, I see all the reasons to go with the red hot Denver Nuggets.

I'd like a Nuggets -3, but the biggest gap Pinnacle and Bet365 offer is -1.

Let it be green!

Do you see any reason for the Hornets to be favourites?

It's never a good time to lose Paul Millsap in the 3rd quarter, due to a broken toe, while the game is on a verge.
