Washington Wizards vs Brooklyn Nets
Washington Wizards - Brooklyn Nets
The Brooklyn Nets played last night a double overtime against the most physical opponent in NBA, the Grizzlies. They fought hard and they lost by 6 on Mike Conely's great run in the additional period.
The Wizzards were kind of on the opposite ... they were blown off the court from the start by the 76ers and didn't look like fighting at all.
While they remain without their best man, Caris LeVert and another starter, Joe Harris, might miss the game due to a tightness in the adductor muscle, the Nets other main pieces have played heavy minutes last night, as 38, 39, 39, 43 and 45 minutes. And it's not only the minutes, but the physical workload that Grizzlies push every opponent to.
In the meantime, the Wizards should have back their best paid man tonight, asfter Otto Porter missed the game in Philadelphia, and speaking of that game ... coach Brooks shut down his main weapons when seing the huge gap between them and the 76ers. So John Wall has played 25 minutes, Bradley Beal 19 minutes, Kelly Oubre 23 and Markieff Morris 22.
So while one could make an argument about the momentum and how awful this Washington team is at the moment, I still notice that before the last 2 blow outs on the road they had 3 very good wins at home, beating the Rockets, the Pelicans and the Clippers in high scoring games.
In their fist h2h matchup in this season the Nets won in Washington and I expect the Wizards to want to turn the table after that loss and the two ugly ones in the past 3 days and to take advantage of the brutal spot the Nets are in.
Let's go green!
