Denver Nuggets vs Los Angeles Lakers

Regular Season

Denver Nuggets - LA Lakers

The Nuggets, a no defense team in the past seasons, surprisingly became a good defending team in this one.

Ranking 9th in NBA in opponent's percentage scoring, they actually stepped even upper their defense for the past 3 games, ranking as the best in NBA for that stretch, averaging 39.8% for the recent wins against the Wolves, the Magic and the Thunder. Quite impressive, I'd say!

In opponent's scoring per game the Nuggets are 3rd in NBA with 103.2 points allowed and, again, 1st for the past 3 games with only 95.3 during that stretch.

With the Lakers becoming much better defensively after Tyson Chandler came and allowing only 98.7 points per game in the past 3 (3rd in NBA during that stretch), allowing 40.7% of the opponents' shots to be scored in those games ... do we see a trend here?

So, when the Lakers try to bounce back after the home upset against Orlando and Denver stopped a losing streak and aligned 3 consecutive wins ... I see both teams having a strong desire to grab this win in primetime, on national TV.

With both rested, especially the Nuggets with 2 days off, I see this one becoming a much tougher defensive battle than the oddsmakers suggest.

The under for the win and ... let's go green!
