Boston Celtics vs Cleveland Cavs
Eastern Conference Finals, Game 2
Boston Celtics - Cleveland Cavaliers
Rough game 1 for the Cavs, as Brad Stevens, probably the best coach in NBA as we speak, had dis guys ready to roll over the floor and contain any Cleveland effort. This Boston team is a great example for the fact that having great leaders can beat the lack of experience. Stevens has managed to put his boys in position to maximize their skills and with a squad of long, athletic and agile players he's able to design plays in which they are continuously switching roles both in defense and offense without being caught in mismatches.
The Cavs simply did not show up on the court two days ago. When LeBron James is the 7th best player on the court statswise, any word is useless to describe how bad they were.
The Celtics managed to shut down the perimeter and to shut down Kevin Love inside the arc, while James was kind of absent.
It's hard to believe that Korver, Smith and Love will all play that bad one more game, so I expect a closer game this time. I really expect Cleveland to bounce back, but I'm not betting on any side, as while I lean on the guests to bounce back I still find no value in their odds and I think the bookmakers keep on disrespecting this wonderful Boston team.
Based on the huge over Cavs have played in game 2 in Toronto and on the 6-2 over/under home record for the Celts in tese playoffs, I'm going for the over 203 points scored in this matchup.
But let's not override that bet, as I see two more mates posted this bet.
Let's check another angle, even better to my mind ...
Quote: "I have zero level of concern at this stage, I didn't go to college, so it's not March Madness. You know, you get better throughout the series. You see ways you can get better throughout the series. But I've been down 0-1, I've been down 0-2, I've been down before in the postseason.
For me Game 1 has always been a feel-out game, if you follow my history."
Note especially that last frase, as that's why I expect LeBron to come out with a very different approach tonight.
Quote: “Usually when ’Bron has these kind of games, the next game he does something legendary,”
LBJ has played poor in both games 1 in these playoffs, but in game 2 vs the Pacers he has put up 46 points, 12 reboiunds and 5 assists, while in game 2 @ the Raptors he scored 43, 8 and 14 respectively.
Thus being said, I have two bets on the card:
LeBron James to score over 32.5 points in the game @ 1.90 (Pinnacle Sports)
LeBron James to score over 52.5 points, rebounds and assists in the game @ 1.80 (Bet365)
Let's go green!
PS Bad beat last night, as I've missed the 3.90 odds for only one point, while 14 points were scored in the last 1:28 min of the 1st half and 13 more scored in the last 1:24 min of the game.
