Oklahoma vs Cleveland Cavs
Oklahoma City Thunder vs Cleveland Cavaliers, it should be quite interesting game, nothing similar to their previous meeting that took place in Cleveland last month. Back then it was easy Thunder victory, real blow out, 148:124. Oklahoma took early 20 pts lead (19 at the end if first quarter) and never allowed to Cavs to get back in the game. It was complete dominance by Oklahoma, almost 60% in field goals, huge advantage in rebounding etc.
But as I said, tonight it should be different story, much more tied game. Game where I see edge on the Cleveland side.
I expect from guests to win outright while I will gladly take this +2.5 pts.
In the team of Oklahoma questionable are Russell Westbrook who already missed the last two games, as well Carmelo Anthony. We will see whether they will play tonight or at least one of them. They were on practice but without contact game. In any case, they are two of the Thunder three best players and their possible absence obviously is huge blow while even with them playing, I am not afraid of betting the Cavs here.
This is the bet on Cleveland, not a bet against Oklahoma. So, I won't look much on home team and their problems but will stick on Cleveland and their clear improvement since recent big trades.
So, Cleveland got rid of many players, some of them really huge stars. By the LeBron James words, he knew nothing about it, not even about trade of his great friend Wade. Oh, really. Is anyone there who can believe this? Of course he knew everything, of course he knew who will be traded. As a matter fact, IMO exactly LeBron is responsible for some recent changes. Cause he is a God there and nothing can be done without his permission, while much is done on his request, all in aim to keep him there and not allowing to lose him again like when he moved to Miami.
So, back to these trades, hardly Cleveland got better players than those they got rid of. Younger players yes (not counting Hill) but at this point better, no way. These trades might be good for a team in the future but at this point, Cleveland is weaker than they were.
Still, on the court it's not looking like that. On the court Cleveland looking much better. And why is like that? Well, IMO cause by far best player in the league, LeBron James now is happy when he got rid of all players with whom he was not satisfied, and now he is not underperforming anymore and now he finally gives his best.
So although on paper Cleveland is much weaker now, IMO on the court they will be much better. We will see for how good result this will be enough tonight, but overall Cavaliers will be way better in rest of the season. IMO they are the team to bet on at this point. And I will do so, especially when ever I see some + points on them.
