Napoli vs Juventus by Enzo
After ugly defeat against Atalanta in front of own fans, Napoli managed to bounce back with quite positive performances in Serie A, getting three victories later on which kept them on the third position at the table, now with two points less than second placed Roma and quite satisfying six points more than fourth placed Lazio.
In the most recent game played in Serie A, the team managed to get a 2:3 victory away from home against Empoli, showing great determination at the start of the match as they took the three goals lead inside the first halftime (via two goals from Insigne and another one from Mertens), while lack of concentration in the defense brought them into problems as Empoli reduced via El Kaddouri in 70th and Maccarone in 82nd minute. Hosts should be playing in 4-3-3 formation with Insigne, Mertens and Callejon as forwards. Central defender Lorenzo Tonelli (3/2) remains long term absentee, while doubtful for this game is right back Elseid Hysaj (26/0), but with chances to recover in time.
Juventus, on the other side, took a narrow 1:0 victory away to Sampdoria two weeks ago, with the only goal being scored already in seventh minute via Cuadrado. Visiting players were obviously satisfied with their early lead and didn't dominate the game as usually, looking obviously to lower down the tempo and save some energy.
Sampdoria had their good moments, but the defense of Juventus was up to the level, while neither the home team had great energy to attack towards the end of the game. With this victory, players of Juventus extended their undefeated streak to fourteen matches in all competitions, as they continue to lead the table in Serie A having eight points more than second placed Roma. They should be playing in 4-2-3-1 formation with Higuain as central striker, plus Cuadrado, Dybala and Mandzukic as offensive support. Offensive midfielder Marko Pjaca (14/0) is injured, while doutbful with fitness problem remains central defender Medhi Benatia (10/1).
This is surely last try for Napoli to get back into the title race, but not only that - they need to get a victory even if they are to stay competitive in the race for second position that will be leading directly to Champions League without qualifiers. Juventus can play just a bit more relaxed than them, but there's no doubt that the visiting side also wants to get a victory and seal the title as soon as possible. I definitely see this game as pretty much very open minded one from both sides, especially from the home team that needs to risk more.
