Motherwell vs Inverness by Luke
Motherwell comes from yet another winless game last time out, but this time they couldn't do much more since the team visited Celtic and stood defeated 2:0, without showing much of attacking potential. They had their own amount of chances and didn't look that bad, however players of Celtic looked way more efficient and determined.
Hosts took the lead in 18th minute via Sinclair and remained being better till the rest of the game, seaeling the victory in 87th minute with a penalty kick taken by Dembele. This was their third game without a victory, previously being defeated at home against Hearts and taking a point on the road against Partick - while the team now stands at tenth position for the moment, having nine points so far - only two points less than play-off placed Hamilton and having that in mind, they still have a lot of time to improve and boost their chances of reaching the desired positions. Home side has defender Stevie Hammell (5/0) is doutbful, while they continue to miss other defender, Carl McHugh (1/0).
Inverness, on the other side, is in a similar situation as their tonight's opponents, since the team has only a point more than Motherwell, but are coming also from a run of three matches without a victory. They took a point away from home against Hamilton, lost to Rangers at home and finally, took a point again, in front of own fans against Kilmarnock last weekend in a 1:1 draw.
Visiting side took the lead in seventh minute from a penalty kick taken by Coulibaly, while the home team overall looked better and had more of the ball possession, but only being able to level up the result in 86th minute with a goal from Doumbouya. The team is still without a victory on the road having two draws and two defeats so far, but are surely looking to improve and break the winless streak now. Doubtful for tonight's game remains Lamell Cole (2/0, defender), while other defender Kevin McNaughton (2/0) remains injured.
Both teams will be looking to get a victory here and I can see a game being way more open than what the odds suggest. They both have better attack than what they were showing in recent matches, while their defensive lineup is nowhere close to reliable ones. Odds are worth a take in my eyes.
