Milwaukee Brewers vs Cincinnati Reds (By: Mulder)

Gio Gonzalez was waiting a long time to take place on the mound again in the Bigs and the leftie has been terrific as he is 2-0 for the Crew with a 1.69 ERA> 6.33 K/9, 2.11 BB/9, 0.42 HR/9, 45.9 GB%.

Last season he posted a 3.45 ERA against the Reds in 15.2 IP.

For the Reds Sonny Gray will start on the mound. He is 0-4 due to a lack of run support as his stuff is solid. He pitched better than his 4.30 ERA with a 9.82 K/9, 54.8 GB%.

However, in his last two outings, he did not allow only 3 runs in each outing, he had also bad stuff as he posted a 6.73 FIP (!) in the last two weeks, which is even worse than his 5.79 ERA.

He owns a 1.50 ERA against the Brewers, but this was back in 2016 when he was in his prime against a rebuilding Crew team as well.

-Brewers are 4-0 in their last 4 home games following a road trip of 7 or more days.

Brewers play fantastic at home ( 16-8 ) and i like them in game 1 today.
