Milan vs Juventus by Enzo
After many changes and ups and downs in previous season and a bit of slippery start in the new season as well, Milan now looks decently well and the team is coming from a run of five undefeated matches, being able to win four of those games. Most recently, they won away from home against Chievo 1:3 last weekend.
Players of Inter found decent rhythm and looked better against Chievo, but not that much as the final result shows, as the thing that separated two sides was efficiency only. Milan took the lead via Kucka in 45th minute, doubled up the lead in first minute of second halftime via Niang, while Chievo responded with a goal from Birsa in 76th minute. Visitors still sealed the victory in fourth minute of additional time with an own goal. Players of Milan are now sharing the second position together with Roma, being five points below leaders from Jjuventus but also only two points above sixth placed Lazio.
Defenders Antonelli (3/0) is injured, as well as midfielders Bertolacci (1/0), Fernandez (0/0) and Montolivo (7/0). Doubtful for this match are defender Calabria (4/0) and offensive midfielder Honda (2/0).
Juventus, on the other side, comes from a very important victory in Champions League group stage on Tuesday evening when the team managed to walk away with a 1:0 narrow three pointer against French side Lyon, which was their sixth consecutive victory in all competitions.
It was really hard fought game for the Italians, as the players of Lyon were no pushovers at all, having some decent chances during the game and even missing a penalty in the first halftime. Guests stood playing with a man less since 54th minute when Lemina got excluded and even though it looked like Lyon is having advantage, Italians still managed to get the victory with a goal in 76th minute from Cuadrado. Juventus is now at the top together with Sevilla with seven points, while Lyon has three and players of Juventus already look like huge favorites to reach the knockout phase.
Defender Chiellini (7/0) is injured, as well as striker Mandzukic (7/0) and defensive Asamoah (4/0). Offensive midfielder/forward Marko Pjaca (5/0) is doubtful for tonight's game.
Milan has improved lately and it's obvious, however I still see Juventus as way better side in every aspect of the game. Home side still has some problems in the defense, while Juventus gets victories even when they are not close to their full potential. The quality gap is obvious here for me and it wouldn't surprise me if we see easier victory for the visitors than what the odds currently suggest.
