Manchester City vs Tottenham by Luke
Manchester City didn't manage to get a positive result last weekend against Leicester at home and suffered 1:3 defeat after three consecutive victories in all competitions. Visitors simply were much more concrete in the attack and it was their day, since they already took the lead in third minute with a goal from Huth.
Despite more chances created from the Citizens and much more of the ball possession during the game, the visitors again entered better the second half and doubled up the lead via Mahrez in 48th, adding the third goal in 60th via Huth. Finally, Aguero just managed to reduce the deficit with a goal in 87th minute. After this defeat, the Citizens have lowered their chances of wining the title, as they now remain only at fourth position, having six points less than leaders from Leicester and a point less than second and third placed Tottenham and Arsenal. This match comes as a must win game for them, not only because of their title bid, but also because of the race for direct Champions League tickets. Citizens should be lined up in a 4-4-2 formation with strikers Aguero and in-form Iheanacho.
Tottenham, on the other side, is in a really good form at the moment, since they come from four consecutive victories in Premier League, which saw them climbing to the second position at the moment and being just five points below Leicester. In the most recent game, they won over Watford a bit more harder than what was expected, since the team looked more dominant and controlled the ball, but only managed to break opponent's defense in 64th minute with a goal from Trippier.
Other than that, they had really plenty of chances and the fair result would have been a bit bigger difference victory for the Spurs. Overall, the team has six consecutive victories in all competitions (four in Premier League as said and two in FA Cup), so they can't await this game being in a better atmosphere. Visiting side will come up with 4-2-3-1 formation and Kane as their striker, with the support of Alli, Eiksen and Lamela. They still continue to miss central defender Jan Vertonghen (23/0) and forward Clinton N'Jie (7/0).
Citizens disappointed last time out in one of more important matches so far in the Premier League and the team will surely be looking to bounce back with a three pointer here, being very offensive from the very first minute of the match. Visitors are in a good shape at the moment and will surely be able to respond in attack, not sitting back and waiting for their chances.
