Lyon vs Lille by Sunshine
Lyon gave much more in their previous game away to Ajaccio, but they still suffered unfair 2:1 defeat few days ago. Corsicans were lucky to take the lead with the help of their fans, while the visitors still manage to equalize early in the second half and put the home side under pressure later in the game, searching for the winning goal. Just when it was obvious that Lyon is under control, Ajaccio scored once again against the flow of the match and took the precious victory.
Coach Garde has said that his players were very disappointed in the dressing room after the defeat, adding that this is something that can't continue as the psychology is a very important for every football player. Also, he proved the fact that the team fell behind in the score in another game adding that this is something that they must work on, as the players enter their matches very lightly. With a 3-1-3 record after first seven rounds, nobody can be satisfied with, while the team's target is to get fourth victory in the season and everything except that would mean another disappointment for them.
Goalkeeper Vercoutre remains sidelined but can't be counted as a regular absentee as he remains out from the last season, while defensive lineup will have problems as central defender Bisevac (5/0) remains out, same as right defender Miguel Lopes (4/0) together with Dabo (2/0). Midfielders Gourcuff (4/2), Danic (3/0) remain injured also, while offensive midfielder Lacazette (7/3) is suspended following his exclusion in a match against Ajaccio.
Lille, on the other side, is coming from a fairly taken victory over Evian at home with the score of 3:0. They were much more dominant in the game, while the visitors were in lower quality than expected and it was inevitably for them to leave the pitch with empty hands.
Hosts took the lead with a goal from Kalou, while the second goal was a own goal from Hansen with Rodelin adding the third twenty minutes before the full time whistle. It was their second consecutive victory as the team has previously won over Sochaux 2:0 on the road, as they seem to be catching the right form after a pretty slippery start. After seven rounds, they have 4-1-2 record while the target remains getting the Champions League ticket for this season. Striker Tulio De Melo is back into the team after injury, but it still remains to be seen if he can perform for ninety minutes. Only absentee is African striker Ryan Mendes (4/0) so Lille will actually have almost complete squad at their disposal.
Lyon will have to perform with a lot of players absent and it's questionable how fluent will they look like, especially in the defense. However, hosts are in a must win situation, while the visitors have started playing better and open game is expected here. Goal line seems to be set way to low and under these circumstances taking over 2.25 with odds over 2.00 seems to be more than valuable bet.
