Livorno vs Ternana by Enzo
Livorno finally won a game after 12 league games (1:3 away to Brescia)! They entered the game with fear, but they have the luck to score with their first chance to the game. Brescia equalized immediately, but they left with ten men in the second half and collapsed. Daniele Vantaggiato, Enej Jelenic and Martino Borghese scored the winning goals, while notable was the return of Christian Panucci as their head coach.
Panucci believes that his team has not healed yet and they need to fix many things in defense. Of course Livorno must find they way to get results and the most important thing is to stay focused and all three points against Ternana. Main centre back Federico Ceccherini (17 games, 1 goal), also centre back Lorenzo Gonnelli (6 games), left winger Francesco Fedato (9 games, 3 goals), defensive midfielder Emerson (1 game), left back Gabriele Morelli (2 games) and right back Paolo Regoli (2 games) are all out of the squad. However, Livorno has a very rich squad with over 28 players to select from.
Ternana took a very important victory against Modena (2:1) and trying to get a safe distance from the danger zone. They were luck that Modena gained a red card very early to the game and this allowed them to be better overall. Without particular problems they kept the 2:1 lead till full time.
Main right back Damiano Zanon (22 games) will miss the game, while good striker Fabio Ceravolo (20 games, 4 goals) returns to the squad after injury. Main left back and captain of the team Luigi Vitale (22 games) is back too, while midfielder Vitale (22/0), right back Jens Janse (6 games, 1 goal) recovered from injuries and can start normally. Good news also that defensive midfielder Manuel Coppola (15 games) served his suspension and he is available.
Ternana is an erratic team and can do damage against any opponent. Livorno should be with high morale with Panucci on the bench and with the recent win after 12 games. I think that both teams will find the nets.
