Lille vs Bordeaux by Lucien
LIlle enter the season in the best possible way, as the team managed to get a three pointer in a home victory over Nantes 3:0 in the first round, however have gathered only one point in next three matches, losing against Strasbourg and Caen without a goal scored, while they took a point in the most recent game played two weekends ago away to Angers.
It was quite a defensive game from both sides, but must be said that the players of Lille were more creative and had more of the ball possession, but lacked more concrete chances during the ninety minutes. Players of Angers scored the goal first, back in 61st minute with a goal from Coulibaly, but the guests replied few moments later via De Previle for the final 1:1 outcome, without risking too much till the end. Lille is now at thirteenth position with just a point less than relegating placed sides and need to improve quickly.
Lille should be playing in 4-2-3-1 formation with Pepe as central striker, plus Araujo, Benzia and Ghazi as offensive midfielders. Goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama is still recovering from injury and is doubtful for this one, while the hosts also miss central back Adama Souamaoro, full back Hamza Mendyl and midfielder Thiago Mendes.
Bordeaux, on the other side, managed to get a narrow victory over Troyes at home in the most recent game played with a 2:1 result. They took the lead in tenth minute with a goal from Kamano and doubled up the result in the best possible time - at start of the second via Sankhare, while the guests replied with a goal from Darbion in 52nd minute, but didn't do much more than that in offense.
Players of Bordeaux looked way more stronger on the field and it's a surprise that the game ended just as a one goal difference victory for them. They won both matches so far at home, winning previously over Metz, while they drew on the road to Angers and Lyon previously. They stand at fourth position with four points less than leading duo from PSG and Monaco and surely need to seek for more than a point per game on the road in order to keep the European hopes.
Visitors are set to play in 4-3-3 formation with Malcom and Kamano on the wings, plus Preville as central striker. Right back Milan Gajic should be their only injury worry for this one.
- Bordeaux have scored at least 2 goals in their last 4 matches (Ligue 1).
Bordeaux is playing generally well so far in the season, especially in offense, while the player of Lille will be desperate to get a victory here. Both teams scoring in this one should happen with ease, I'm with higher confidence than what the current odds show.
