Leganes vs Real Madrid by Jimeno
Leganes managed to stay undefeated for four matches in a row now in LaLiga, as the team comes from a 1:1 draw away from home against Real Sociedad last Saturday evening. They looked more dominant and concrete somehow in the first halftime and deservedly took the lead in 29th minute with a goal from Szymanowski, while the hosts responded well from that moment on and were increasing the tempo slowly.
Players of Sociedad reached the equalizer in 53rd minute via Juanmi, continuing to be better on the field, however without any further scoreline change. This way Leganes continued with positive results, fourth undefeated match and third draw in a row, as they continue to be just above the relegation zone now having five points more than red zone placed Gijon. No doubt that they are fired up to stay undefeated against the table leaders here.
Leganes should be set playing with three offensive players, using Szymanowski and Pires on the wings and Guerrero as central striker. Defensive midfielder Erik Moran (7/0) is suspended for tonight's game, while injured remain goalkeeper Serantes without performing in the season, same as injured offensive midfielder Robert Ibanez (5/2). Midfielder Nabil El Zhar (7/0) is doubtful.
Real Madrid didn't experience much problems last weekend in front of own fans against Alaves in a 3:0 victory, even though they sealed the three pointer pretty late into the second halftime. Benzema brought them into the lead in 31st minute and hosts had more of the ball possession and chances created, but weren't that concrete.
Towards the end of the game when Alaves started risking more, it was easy for the hosts to net two more goals, in 85th minute via Isco and three minutes later via Nacho. After this victory, which was fourth in a row for Real in LaLiga, the team remained first at the table with two points more than second placed Barcelona, also having a game less played as well, but anyway being in a must win situation in this one.
Visitors from Madrid are set to play in 4-3-3 formation, with Bale, Ronaldo and Benzema most likely as forwards. Central defender Raphael Varane (19/1) remains injured and out. Casemiro is back from suspension and is expected to be in the midfield.
- There have been over 2.5 goals scored in Real Madrid's last 7 games (La Liga).
- Leganes have seen over 2.5 goals in their last 3 matches against Real Madrid.
Leganes are undefeated in last four matches in LaLiga and the team is surely fire up to remain such against Real Madrid as well. However, visitors are coming in a must win situation and I'm sure the game will be very open one, from both sides. Real should prevail with few goals scored, I believe it's time for them to get one convincing victory on the road without getting into troubles towards the end of the game.
