Lazio vs Napoli by Enzo
After an exhausting and a tough game played in a local derby away to Roma played last Sunday and ending as a 2:2 draw, Lazio re-grouped and took important 3:1 victory in Copa Italia against Torino before few days. With this victory, they sealed the qualification to the quarter-finals, where the team will play against AC Milan later in next weeks.
As for the league, team is undefeated in last six matches, being currently on third position with only a point more than fourth placed Napoli, which means that this game comes as the most important for them till now in the season. At home, they count three consecutive 3:0 victories in all competitions, winning over Sampdoria, Atalanta and Varese and will surely try to get the victory here and approach second placed Roma even further - currently they are nine points away from their biggest rival. Offensive midfielder Felipe Anderson (15/5) is injured for this game with a knee problem. Goalkeeper Federico Marchetti (14/0) won't play here due suspensions. Central defender Michael Ciani (7/0) is out injured, same as substitute offensive midfielder Honorato Ederson (2/1), left back Edson Braafheid (11/1) and midfielder/left full back Senad Lulic (15/3).
Napoli, on the other side, comes from a 1:3 defeat at home against Juventus, side that is clearly pretty much more superior to any other in the country. From the first moments visitors imposed their pace and tempo, getting into the lead in 29th minute with a goal from Pogba. Britos equalized early in the second half, but players of Juventus once again upped their tempo and couldn't be matches on that night.
Caceres installed the lead again five minutes later after the equalizer, while the victory was sealed with the goal from Vidal of fourth minute of injury time. Overall impression is that players of Napoli failed to be more attacking and more concrete in their efforts towards opponent. Anyhow, they are now at fourth position, only one point below Lazio which makes this game very important for both sides as the Italian championship gives Champions League ticket to first three placed sides in the end of the season. Miguel Britos (12/1) is suspended for this game, which means that Ivan Strinic will play at the position of left full back as other left back, Faouzi Ghoulam (16/0) plays at African Cup of Nations currently. Right full back Juan Zuniga (8/0), forward Michu (5/0) and offensive midfielder Lorenzo Insigne (12/1) remain injured.
No doubt that Napoli is a bit under rated here and as such, they are always more than dangerous. There are no many aspects of view while Lazio should be set as slight favorite here, but still the first betting choice goes with goals. Open game is expected where both teams should have enough goalscoring chances to net at least once each.
