Latina vs Cagliari by Enzo
After three consecutive victories, over Novara and Pro Vercelli at home with narrow 1:0 result and a 1:2 victory on the road against Trapani, Latina was stopped last weekend when they visited Ascoli and held the opponent to a goalless draw. Visitors can fully be satisfied with a point taken, since the players of Ascoli did so much more on the field and were entitled to something more during the game.
Still, this is fourth consecutive undefeated game for the side which puts them to thirteenth position at the table, still being in a battle for play-off rounds, currently only three points away from it. They have lost only once at home in last seven matches, having three straight 1:0 results, two victories and a defeat. They should be playing in quite offensive 4-3-3 formation playing with forwards Acosty, Boakye and Corvia. Midfielder Maodo Malich Mbaye (10/0) is suspended for this one, while injured remains other midfielder, offensive one, Filippo Bandinelli (2/0), Hosts have no fresh injury worries for this game.
Cagliari comes from a narrow 1:0 victory last weekend against Entella. They actually didn't impress that much during the game, but still were better than their opponents. First halftime looked quite passive, but the players of Cagliari woke up in the repetition and it was enough to take all three points.
Finally, scored goal was from a penalty kick in 77th minute via Farias. The team maybe doesn't impress in every single game they played, but overall their record in the league so far is quite impressive. They are now coming from sixth victory in seven matches and are keeping one point lead in comparison to second placed Crotone and seven points more than third placed Pescara, difference that really means since first two positions will go directly to Serie A. Midfielder Gianni Munari (10/1) is back in the team, but suspended for this one remains midfielder Marco Fossati (23/1) and injured is striker Marco Sau (14/5).
Latina has every chance to walk away with something here, however Cagliari proved to be very strong this season. An open game and with plenty of chances from both sides is what I expect here.
