Juventus vs Roma by Enzo
Juventus managed to walk away with a three pointer last weekend away to Torino with a 3:1 victory, even though the game wasn't easy for them at all. Actually, hosts took the lead in sixteenth minute with a goal from Belotti, but couldn't keep up with Juventus that looked superior from that moment on. They leveled up in 28th minute via Higuain.
Players of Juventus continued dominating and were better, however their next goals only came in last ten minutes of the match, firstly with a second goal from Higuain, while Pjanic sealed their win in second minute of additional time. It was second consecutive victory for Juventus after their bit unexpected defeat away to Genoa, as they continued being first at the table with four points more than Roma and seven more than third placed Milan.
Defender Andrea Barzagli is doubtful with a shoulder problem as well as talented offensive player Marko Pjaca. Right back Dani Alves and central defender Leonardo Bonucci remain injured.
Roma, on the other side, managed to get a victory last Monday evening when they hosted Milan and won the match with a narrow 1:0 result. Probably a draw would have been a bit more fair outcome, however the visitors paid the price of being less effective side, especially counting their penalty misses in 27th minute.
Nainggolan brought the home team into the lead in 62nd minute, as players of Roma defended their lead decently, standing really well in the last lineup. It was their third consecutive victory, since the team previously won against Lazio and Pescara, continuing to chase first placed Juventus and they can't afford to lose here if they are to continue with the title dreams, but also knowing that the results achieved so far are more than satisfying.
Doubtful are defender Thomas Vermaelen and offensive Mohamed Salah. Injured are defender Bruno Peres and midfielders Alessandro Florenzi and Leandro Paredes.
Roma is doing well this season, maybe even a bit above the expectations at some moments, however Juventus - playing good or not, somehow remains close to a level above in comparison to other title candidates.
