Juventus vs Napoli by Enzo
Juventus responded really well on Wednesday evening when the team welcomed Sampdoria and cruised to a 4:1 victory after their setback last weekend away to Milan when they were narrowly defeated with a 1:0 result. It was a good way to show that the defeat in Milano was just a bad day for their players.
Players of Juventus controlled everything against Sampdoria from first till last moment, taking the double lead already after nine minutes of the game with goals from Mandzukic and Chiellini. Visitors from Genoa managed to temporarily reduce the deficit with a goal from Schick in 57th minute, but once Juventus started playing a bit more serious, they easily sealed the victory with another goal from Chiellini and final fourth, from Pjanic. With this victory, Juventus remained two points ahead of Roma and remains in a must win situation here in order to boost their chances.
Hosts are set to play in 3-5-2 formation with Higuain and Mandzukic as strikers. Left back Patrice Evra (3/0) is doutbful, while injured remain talented forward Marko Pjaca (5/0) and forward Paulo Dybala (8/3).
After an ugly run of three defeats (to Roma and Atalanta in Serie A and to Besiktas in Champions League), Napoli responded better in their next two matches, since the team walked away with a 2:1 victory away to Crotone last weekend, but also got a convincing 2:0 victory in front of own fans against Empoli on Wedneseday evening.
Team showed most of their quality that night, as they controlled the ball from first till last moment and probably deserved a bit bigger margin victory, but were only able to break opponent's defense with two goals inside the second halftime when they increased the tempo, in 51st minute via Mertens and in 81st minute via Chiriches. The team is now at third position, having two points less than second placed Roma and four less than leaders from Juventus.
Visitors will be playing in 4-3-3 formation with Callejon, Mertens and Insigne as forwards. Visitors will miss suspended forward Manolo Gabbiadini (8/1), but also injured striker Arkadiusz Milik (7/4), while central defender Raul Albiol (6/0) might resume full training, but probably won't feature here not being close to his best.
I'm completely sure that the players of Juventus will not fail twice in a row against a bit more reputable clubs. Napoli already showed that they have plenty of problems when facing quality sides this autumn and shouldn't be able to stay competitive here till the last moment. Home win still has value in my eyes.
