Hoffenheim vs Bayern Munich by Gustav
Hoffenheim did very well last weekend, on Friday evening to be precise, as they won away from home against Hertha Berlin with a 3:1 result. However, not everything went well from the start, since the players of Hertha took the lead in 32nd minute via Pekarik, but the guests replied well via Kramaric from the penalty kick in 39th minute.
Hosts stood playing with a man less in 58th minute when Mittelstadt got his second yellow card, while the visitors had all the domination from that moment on and deserved the victory thanks to goals from Sule in 76th and Kramaric again in 86th minute. Hoffenheim is now third at the table with four points less than Leipzig and surely aims that position for the end of the season.
Hoffenheim should be playing in 3-5-2 formation with Kramaric and Wagner as forwards. Right defender and sometimes right midfielder Pavel Kaderabek (20/0) could return here after recovery from calf injury. Their manager Julian Nagelsmann has no reason to make changes for this one.
Bayern Munich, on the other side, comes from a 6:0 victory in front of own fans against Augsburg last weekend, again confirming that they are the strongest side in the country without any doubt. They were beter from first till last minute, with Lewandowski netting three goals in the progress, while Muller scored twice, with Alcantara adding one.
It was seventh consecutive victory for Bayern Munich in all competitions, as they also have five in Bundesliga, leading the table now with sixty-five points, which is thirteen points more than second placed Leipzig and with eight rounds till the end, it seems that nothing will stop them in order to claim yet another title. The team is expected to take the game just a bit more relaxed ahead of the tough schedule, but there's no doubt that they will be going for a three pointer here.
Visiting side will be playing in their usual 4-2-3-1 formation using Lewandowski as central striker, plus Robben, Vidal and Ribery as offensive midfielders. Goalkeeper Manuel Neuer (25/0) is injured for this one and will be replaced by Sven Ulreich. David Alaba, Arturo Vidal and Arjen Robben were previously rested and should start here. Offensive midfielder Douglas Cost (19/4) is injured, same as offensive Thomas Muller (23/4).
- Bayern have scored at least 2 goals in their last 3 away matches against Hoffenheim.
Goals are what I expect from this match. Hoffenheim is in fine form and surely will be dangerous, being with a boosted morale and wanting to show that they can play against the strongest side in the country, there is no doubt that they will be hell of a motive. Bayern anyway remains a better side here and is capable of scoring a few goals against any opponent in Bundesliga.
