Heerenveen vs Willem II by Neuro
Heerenveen couldn't do much more last weekend when the team visited PSV Eindhoven and got defeated by 4:1 result. It was clear even before the game who will be the boss during the ninety minutes, but the players of Heerenveen actually responded quite well and fought nicely, especially when talking about offensive tasks in that one.
Still, superior hosts have scored three goals in the first halftime, thanks to de Jong twice and Depay, while Van den Berg reduced temporarily in 27th minute. Near the end of the game, Narsigh sealed the final 4:1 score, even though the players of Heerenveen looked much more competitive and threatening in the second half. They still haven't secured the play-off spot, being currently eight points ahead of Cambuur which means sealing the play-off ticket in case of a victory here. Coach Dwight Lodeweges won't be able to count at right full back Stefano Marzo (29/0), while injured are central defender Jordy Buijs (12/0) and other defensive Doke Schmidt (22/0).
Willem II, on the other side, suffered a bit of a humiliation as they lost with a 1:4 score in front of their own fans against Groningen last weekend. However, it has to be said that the final result was nowhere that fair, as the home side had their own chances and the narrow defeat would have been much more fairer outcome.
In addition to that, it should be said that the hosts had much more of the ball possession and chances created, but lacked touch in the final effort. Now, away from home, they'll have even more difficult job as the team has 4-1-10 record away from home and didn't win away to Heerenveen since 2000 year. Coach Jurgen Streppel has all players available for this game with no injury nor suspension worries, however it's sure that he will make few alternations in comparison to the previous starting lineup against Groningen that proved to have many defensive gaps and individual weaknesses.
Open game is expected here with both teams searching for a victory actually. Heerenveen has all the reasons to be strong as hot favorite in front of their own crowd, while I believe their three pointer will come in much easier fashion than the current odds represent.
