Guingamp vs Angers by Lucien
Guingamp was already looking pretty decent in the new season, but the team especially impressed in previous two matches, when they managed to get a victory at home over Lille with a really rock solid performance and especially last weekend, when they snatched all three points on the road against much more favorited Lyon.
Hosts were those who tried to control the ball movement and created more chances, especially in the first halftime when they took the lead from a penalty kick taken by Lacazette. However, nothing worked for them in the second halftime as players of Guingamp looked rather well on counter attacks and exploited lack of concentration from Lyon's defense at the start of repetition, taking the lead with goals from Salibur in 46th and Coco six minutes later, managing to score another one, again via Coco in 77th minute to seal the victory. They are now at fifth position at the table, being just three points behind third and Champions League placed PSG. Additionally, they have won away to Bastia in Couple de la Ligue match after penalty kicks during the midweek using rotated squad. Home team should have no fresh injury worries since they continue to miss Reynald Lemaitre and Nicolas Benezet who anyway didn't play this season. Suspended is right back Jonathan Pereira who only played in Cup matches so far.
Angers, on the other side, aren't doing that bad themselves as well, since the team stands currently at ninth position with fourteen points earned, which is just three less in comparison to their tonight's opponents. They come from a goalless draw at home against Toulouse last weekend in the most recent Ligue 1 game.
It wasn't that interesting game from neither of the teams, since neither of these tried to attack a lot and were mostly playing in the middle of the pitch, with players of home team maybe being a bit more concrete. However, goalless draw was completely fair outcome, especially since neither of the teams wanted to risk as the time was progressed. Additionally, they have suffered 2:1 defeat away to Nantes during the midweek in Coupe de la Ligue match, playing with a rotated team as every other side that participated. Visitors continue to miss goalkeeper Letellier (no performance so far in the season) and forward Ketkeophomphone (5/1) due to knee injuries.
Home side will enter this game with a boosted morale after two very important victories and I'm sure they will do everything to get the third as well, this time against obviously weaker opponents. Easy or hard, hosts should prevail here, while I still see the odds as valuable since I rate their chances above 50%.
