Getafe vs Deportivo by Jimeno
After two consecutive defeats, Getafe almost entered relegation battle, being now only four points above the relegating worried sides. Most recently, they suffered defeats to Real Sociedad at home and 2:0 loss away from home against Atletico Madrid, not being able to find the net in neither of these games.
However, two weeks have passed since the most recent defeat against Atletico, so the team had enough time to re-group and re-shuffle some things in their squad. Anyway, they weren't too downhearted with this defeat, as it came against one of the strongest sides in Spain and it was widely expected. However, despite that, team now has entered almost dangerous situation, as they have only four points more than relegating worried sides and the match against Deportivo, one of relegation strugglers, is coming in the right time for them. Midfielder Juan Rodriguez is available once again after serving suspension, while midfielder Mehdi Lacen (21/2) is an injury doubt for this game, but should be able to recover in time. However, forward Angel Lafita (11/1), right back Juan Valera (11/0) and offensive midfielder Yoda (16/4) are all injured and out for this game.
Deportivo, on the other side, is even in a worse form than their today's opponent, but not only that, they are also in a worse position, being only one point above the relegating sides. Most worrying thing for them is that the team didn't win in last six Primera matches, celebrating their last victory at the start of February.
Since then, they have four defeats and two draws, with the most recent match being against Espanyol where they were held to a goalless draw at home two weeks ago. Neither of the teams looked really willing to attack during the match, while both teams looked like more than happy with a draw as the game was approaching it's end. Away from home they have disastrous 2-4-7 record and it's hard to see them getting away with something in this one as well. Central defender Alberto Lopo (21/0) is suspended, while the visitors also can't count at forward Helder Postiga (12/1), defensive midfielder Cezary Wilk (11/0), with Diogo Salomao has been added to injury list as well.
Might be a bit shorter odds with this betting option, but I really can't see a way how Deportivo can win this one. Their form is terrible, the team isn't convincing especially on the road and hosts have every reason to be set as much bigger favorites. However, hosts themselves might have a bad attacking day, so the draw can't be fully excluded.
