Fulham vs Norwich by Luke
After a run of seven matches without a victory in all competitions, however without playing that badly, players of Fulham finally took a victory with a decent performance last weekend when they visited Barnsley and celebrated 4:2 three pointer. However, things didn't start well for them, since the team was losing twice in the first halftime but at both ocassions managed to get back into the game thanks to goals from Piazon in 37th and Aluko in 42nd minute.
They were obviously better in the second halftime, especially at the start of it and took the three pointer deservedly thanks to goals from Malone and Martin, while the home team stood playing with a man less in last twenty-five mintues of the game and it only made the job easier for Fulham. After this victory, the team is now at tenth position, only with three points less than sides which are in the play-off zone and their ambitions are surely to be there as soon as possible.
Home team should be playing in 4-2-3-1 formation with Martin as central striker and their number nine, but also with Paizon and Cairney on the wings and Aluko as central offensive midfielder. Attacking midfielder Floyd Ayite (6/0) is doubtful, as well as central defender Tomas Kalas (8/0). Midfielder Kevin McDonald returns from suspension and should be included here.
Norwich, on the other side, continues with good performances, as the team comes into this match after a 3:1 home victory over Rotherham last weekend. It was completely expected victory for them and it came in quite easy fashion, as they looked better for the whole ninety minutes and didn't probably put whole their effort in order to beat the opponent.
Hoolahan brought them into the lead in seventeenth minute, Jerome doubled up the lead in 65th, while the visitors deservedly scored their goal too, in 74th minute via Blackstck, however without jeopardizing the opponents completely. Finally, Naismith netted the third goal after coming from bench, as the players of Norwich now lead the table with 26 points earned and a 8-2-2 record. They are just a point away from third placed Huddersfield that won't be leading to the Premiership directly, so the team remains under pressure to get the victories they need badly.
Visitors from Norwich are set to play in 4-2-3-1 formation as well, with Jerome probably as their central striker, plus Murphy, Hoolahan and Brady as offensive midfielders. Midfielder Matthew Jarvis continues to be injured, while doubtful remains central midfielder Jonny Howson (11/3). Steven Naismith should be recalled after scoring as as substitute.
- There have been over 2.5 goals scored in Norwich's last 8 games (Championship).
Fulham is having great recent tradition at home against Norwich and the team comes from a morale boosting performance so I definitely see them being very dangerous here and walking away with something. Norwich, on the other side, have now won six matches out of last seven and also should be playing here in an above decent way. I expect both sides to be threatening enough and both to score more than once.
