Fulham vs Blackburn by Shibby
Championship action for me on a Sunday afternoon. The game will be played at Craven Cottage, London and will kick off at 12:00. The game will see London side, Fulham host Lancashire outfit, Blackburn Rovers.
The hosts, Fulham head into the game looking for their third straight victory. Fulham's last 2 games have seen them beat 2 South Yorkshire teams in Sheffield United and Rotherham United (league and cup). They beat Sheffield United 3-0 at Craven Cottage and then got their first league win of the season at the New York Stadium when they beat by beloved Rotherham 3-1. Fulham did play quite well, the most impressive aspect of the game was the amount of chances they created. £11m+ striker Ross McCormack seems to have finally found his form having scored 3 goals in Fulham's last 2 games.
A lot of people think that Fulham paid far too much for McCormack, however, he is a proven goalscorer at this level and this could prove to be good business come the end of the season. Fulham currently lie in 17th place in the league on just 5 points. However, a win vs Blackburn could potentially seem them rise to 11th in the league.
There was talk that Fulham manager Kit Symons may have been getting the sack, however, the recent turnaround may have given him a little extra time. Fulham have scored in every single game they've played in this season and I expect this to continue vs Blackburn.
The visitors for the game are Blackburn have been in poor form and as a result they find themselves in the relegation zone on just 3 points, manager Gary Bowyer is also risking his job of late and needs to turn Blackburn's season around sooner rather than later. Blackburn have yet to record a win in the league this season and you can tell that with the players attitude. Their confidence seems to be very low at the moment.
Since they lost their star player, Gestede to Aston Villa, they've struggled for goals, Jordan Rhodes hasn't looked like the player he was last season and I think this is down to injury. I think this will be a tight game, however, I do expect Fulham to edge it due to their recent performances before the International break. Therefore, I'll be backing Fulham +0 AH @ a price of 1.75 with Unibet. If pushed for a scoreline, I'd say 1 or 2-0 to Fulham. Good luck all.
