Aalborg vs Malmo by 20Legend

After a successful training camp in Spain, AaB returned to Denmark last Wednesday in order to do their final preparation for the continuing of the Danish league this weekend. Their coach, Lars Sondergard, was very pleased with the quality that the team showed both on training and in the games. He was particularly satisfied with their last two games against Slovan Bratislava (3-3) in Spain and Vorskla Poltava (2-1) in Denmark where AaB was able to cope with being highly pressured at times, but still managed to get goals and remained focused.

Their focus is now changing back into European opponents and Malmo FF will be their last test before the season continues the upcoming weekend against FC Midtjylland. Their opponent is of high class which is perfect as a last test as the players must step up their game already at this point. Thomas Enevoldsen and Lukas Spalvis have struggled with minor injuries, but are expected to be ready for today’s game. It is therefore only Jannick Pohl who remains out for AaB as the coach has all the other players available. No predicted lineups is available yet though.

Malmo arrived to Denmark yesterday in order to get ready for today’s game against their coach Alan Kuhn’s old team. He has high hopes for the match to be entertaining as both teams have players with high quality as he stated himself. They come from a cup-match against Sirius (2-1) which they won in the end. It was not an easy win though as Sirius stood against the pressure for a long time. Sirius got an early lead after four minutes due to a free kick, while Jo Inge Berget equalized after 34 minutes. The second half was dominated by Malmo in terms of possession, but Sirius laid low and tried to be as compact as possible. Malmo found a way in the end after 77 minutes when Jo Inge Berget was there again to secure advancement for Malmo. Berget is not on in the squad due to their homepage, but they have a lot of goalgetters available with Rosenbeg, Molins and Kjartansson to mention some of them. Malmo has predicted their starting lineup as follows:

F. Andersson - Tinnerholm, Bengtsson, Brorsson, Konate - P. Johansson, Rakip, Adu, Sana - Rosenberg, Molins

Subs: M. Johansson, Árnason, Yotún, Eikrem, Rodic, E. Andersson, Bergqvist, Kjartansson

It will be a match between two offensive minded teams here as both teams know how to play football. Malmo has taken huge steps over the last seasons and marked themselves in the Champions League as well. AaB is looking to get more confidence before the league starts again, and it will be nice for them to play against a well-known Scandinavian club in their home country where people can come watch them. The match will be played at Nordjyske Arena on natural grass and the tickets are free which should give a descent amount of fans coming to watch their heroes as well. I am also sure AaB will use a strong lineup as it is their last friendly, which gives to teams with a lot of offensive potential today. With the free tickets to the game as well, I predict nice surroundings to the game and I also expect that the fans will be entertained with at least three goals here.
