Feyenoord vs Roda by Meese
Feyenoord is having really dream start into the new season, as the team has recorded six consecutive victories in Eredivisie and maybe more importantly, are coming from a narrow 1:0 victory in a derby game against PSV away from home, victory that surely showed them that the team is capable of achieving great things this season.
Moreover, they made a surprise in the opening game for Europa League group stage, when they won at home over much more reputable Manchester United 1:0 couple of weeks ago. In the midweek, they have also won over FC Oss on Thursday evening, even though the team fielded up rotated squad. However, things didn't go that well for them into the match, since the team was back in the scoreline in third minute, but managed to revert the scoreline thanks to goals from Berghius in 12th, Kramer in 68th, Basacikoglu in 76th and finally, sealed the victory in last moments of the game thanks to a goal from Jorgensen.
Home side should be playing in 4-2-3-1 formation with Jorgensen as central striker, plus Berghius, Kuyt and Toornstra as offensive midfielders. Manager Giovanni van Bronckhorst will not be changing much this time out, while he continues to miss out goalkeeper Kenneth Vermeer and central defender Sven van Beek, both without performing so far in the season.
Roda, on the other side, is having really difficult start in the season when speaking about their results, since the team has 0-3-3 record and are at the rock bottom position together with two more teams, so they need to think already about improvement and escaping from the relegation zone as soon as possible.
In the previous Eredivisie match, they lost easily with 0:3 result at home against Heerenveeen, being completely outplayed from the first till last moment. It was their fifth consecutive match that they didn't score a single goal (four defeats and one goalless draw). During the midweek, the team easily lost in a Cup game against PSV 4:0 away from home, in a match where none expected them to make a surprise.
Visitors from Roda are set to play in 4-2-3-1 formation also, with Mytidis as striker and Rosheuvel, Auassar and Boysen as offensive midfielders. Central defender Chris Kum (5/1) is suspended, as well as offensive midfielder Abdul Ajagun (5/0). Their manager Giannis Anastasiou is under pressure for sure now and will need to work it out without right defender Martin Milec (4/0) and two long term absentees: midfielder Jens van Son and forward Dani Schahin, both without playing minute so far in the season.
Even though handicap is bit bigger than usually, I will still stick with in-form Feyenoord. If home side shows anything close to their full potential, they'll have no problems winning over Roda with ease.
