Feyenoord vs NEC by Neuro
Feyenoord is currently standing sixth at the table and are looking pretty decent at the moment, especially in their most recent matches. They are coming from a Cup game against today's opponents, getting the victory after extra time 3:2, but overall they looked much, much better than their hosts.
They were better side in that game, creating much more chances, but were unlucky to concede two easy goals, while their had to try hard in order to score theirs. As the game progressed, Feyenoord was looking better and better, completely overtaking the situation in their side in from the 60th minute. After the game, the coach said that the team looks much better than at the beginning of the season, but they still need to work a lot more in order to find their best form.
Hosts are still without their two important central defenders Mathijsen and de Vrij, who are injured for a few weeks now, while midfielder Goossens is also out.
NEC Nijmegen, on the other side, is standing tenth in the league with two wins, two draws and two losses, finding themselves on the run of three matches without a loss.
Previous round game against Willem II saw them being better side, but failing to find their way to score to goal, they finally had to be even satisfied with a point only as their player Conboy got a red card and they had to defend their goal in last five minutes of the match. Their biggest problem so far this season is that they have many ups and downs during one game and the fact that their young and talented coach prefers to play with a lot of ball possession that leaves too much space at the back for the opponents. Defender Conboy logically is out for this game, just as midfielders Stijn de Looijer and Youri Leon.
Just three days ago Feyenoord showed that they are in much better form than their tonight's opponent. Being completely outplayed in that game, leaving ball possession and control of the match to Feyenoord although they were guests in that game, I can't see anything but easy home win tonight if they show even 70% of what they did three days ago.
