Feyenoord vs Go Ahead Eagles by Meese
Feyenoord didn't manage to avoid defeat in the derby game against Ajax last weekend suffering 2:1 loss and even though they were great favorites to win the title earlier this Year, the team is now just three points above second placed Ajax and five points above third placed PSV with six rounds till the end.
This means that they need to take very seriously every single game in order to celebrate the title in the end. It should be said that the players of Ajax almost completely outplayed them in the previous match, from the first minute when they took the lead via Schone, while Neres doubled up their lead in 36th minute. All the visitors were able was to reduce the deficit towards the end of the game in first minute of additional time via Kramer - overall, pretty much deserved defeat.
Go Ahead Eagles surprised a lot of people and improved a lot last weekend, as the team celebrated three pointer away from home against Twente in a 2:1 victory. However, it must be said that it wasn't an easy match, as the hosts looked as a more solid side and even took the lead in 45th minute via Unal.
However, guests exploited well lack of concentration in the hosts' defense and reverted the scoreline relatively quickly, with goals from Hendriks in 53rd and Ritzmaier in 66th minute. This was only second victory for the Eagles away from home this season, but second in last four matches on the road. The side is now second from the bottom, having just two points less than safely placed Excelsior and must search for something in every single game.
- There have been over 2.5 goals scored in Go Ahead Eagles's last 5 games (Eredivisie).
- Feyenoord have scored at least 2 goals in 8 of their last 9 home matches (Eredivisie).
Feyenoord remains huge favorites here and should get a convincing victory, but my first betting option goes with plenty of goals since neither of the teams have time to wait and see what happens in this one. Hosts alone are capable of scoring four, but I believe the visitors will also be very open minded in this one and also with threatening chances in front of opponent's goal.
