Zorya vs Feyenoord by Meese
Even though Zorya looked pretty decent in all three matches of Europa League group stage they played, it's obvious that the team is not completely up to the task of playing the competition at the greatest possible level and to get involved into reaching the knockout phase here.
After their starting draw at home against Fenerbahce, the team narrowly lost two matches, both with 1:0 result, against Manchester United and Feyenoord on the road. In both matches they looked decent enough and weren't outplayed, but at the same time the opponent did just what was needed in order to get the victory. As for Ukrainian Pari-Match League, Zorya comes from a 2:1 victory over Zirka last weekend, which was their third consecutive victory and they currently stand at second position, having two points more than giants of Ukrainian football Dynamo Kiev.
Feyenoord, on the other side, took an important and easy victory in the previous round of Europa League when they won over Zorya, with the only goal being scored in 55th minute via Jorgensen. That three pointer put them at the first position, which they share together with Manchester United and have two points more than Fenerbahce.
If the team is to stay competitive in this battle against two great teams such as Turkish and English sides are, they need all three points out of this match and that's what the team will be going after. As for the Eredivisie, they made a setback last weekend getting only a point at home against Heerenveen, but the team continues to be first at the table and currently has three points more than second placed Ajax. Goalkeeper Kenneth Vermeer is long term absentee without performing this season at all, while doubtful for the match remains defender Sven Van Beek, probably being short of fitness since he didn't play this season either - actually visiting side without fresh injury worry.
Zorya is already almost without chances of progressing further here and I'm sure that everyone in the club is well aware of this. Feyenoord already won over them and even though this will surely be more complicated game for the Dutch team, I still see them being way closer of getting the victory again.
