Ruzomberok vs Vojvodina by Isaiah
Ruzomberok didn't look that fine in the first halftime away to Novi Sad and the team could have conceded even one more, however they appeared with much better performance inside the next halftime and were really close to take the draw as well. Overall, it's probably a satisfying result for them, since the team managed to score a goal and has a decent chance of progressing further.
Slovakians were pressing in the second and actually deserved the goal in 81st minute via Daniel, now being in a position still to chase the result and need a victory, however with much better position than a two goals disadvantage was. The side had a friendly game against Trinec before the first clash, winning that friendly match with a narrow 1:0 result. Ruzomberok has defender Kruzilak (26/2 last season) set as doubtful here, while midfielder Dubek (27/4) left the club.
Vojvodina, on the other side, presented themselves really strong inside the first halftime and took advantage of it, opening the scoreline already in eight minute via Malbasic, while the sama players doubled up their lead in 21st minute. However, as the time progressed they weren't looking that convincing and what they showed in last thirty minutes of the match was actually worrying ahead of the trip to Slovekia.
The team was too passive in the second, probably being satisfied with the result and they paid the price conceding a goal ten minutes before the end. Start of the season is still weeks away, but the club's board decided to fire coach Batak after this game, with Nenad Vanic, a younger coach from Serbian League taking his place for the new season. Kind of a weird decision, however nothing unusual for Serbian clubs unfortunately.
Visitors won't be counting at left back Antic (35/0), but also midfielder Stamenic (5/0) and forward Bubalo (newcomer in the club).
First game wasn't that open minded, however it was obvious that both of the sides have problems in the defense and that their offensive part is much more reliable. Slovakian side now needs to chase the result and will need to attack during the game, while the Serbs anyway remain very strong side on counter attacks, for seasons now in Europe.
