Olympiakos vs Besitkas by Isaiah
After difficult road in Europa League group stage and ending at second position being actually tied up with third placed Young Boys, Olympiakos continued well and overpowered Osmanlispor in previous stage with especially well game away from home where they managed to get a 3:0 victory after a goalless game in Pireaus week earlier.
Team from Greece was deadly effective in second halftime and deserved their progress with two goals from Ansarifard and Elyounoussi, but it can't be said that their players are doing fine in the league at the moment. On contrary, despite their advantage on the table, Olympiakos has suffered three defeats in a row in Greek Superleague (against AEK, Panionios and PAOK) which even led to coach sacking, but still remain favorites to lift the title, having six points more than second placed Panionios with seven matches till the end.
Home team won't be able to count at defender Bruno Vianna (17/1) who is suspended, while doubtful is other defender, Da Costa (12/0). Injured are goalkeeper Kapino (12/0), midfielder Dominguez (4/1) and forward Seba (22/4).
Besiktas, on the other hand, had a very difficult task in Champions League since the team got drawn together with Napoli, Benfica and Dynamo Kiev, but still the side managed to get the third position and were in fight for the progress till the last round, but then suffered humiliating 6:0 defeat in Ukraine and lost the chances to progress further in the best competition.
They didn't have very difficult task in the first knockout stage in the Europa League earlier this year, as the side won over Israli Hapoel Beer Sheva on the road 3:1, but also confirmed their progress with 2:1 victory at home. In the domestic league they have three consecutive victories, coming from a narrow 1:0 win over Rizespor at home last weekend. They are first at the table with four points more than second placed Basakshier and remain huge favorites to lift the title too.
Besiktas will not be counting at long term absentee and injured forward Demba Ba who anyway didn't perform this season for the Turkish side, while doubtful remain midfielder Uysal (8/0) and defender Erkin (6/1).
Open game is what I expect here from both teams, since the Greek team knows that they aren't having plenty of chances in the second leg, while they also really need to respond after poor results in the domestic league. They are maybe slight favorites, but I see the Turkish team scoring here as well, without any doubt they have plenty of quality in offense.
