Lech Poznan vs Haugesund by Isaiah
Polish side Lech Poznan were favorites to walk away with a positive result from the first leg in Norway, however the team has suffered 3:2 defeat and not only that, they should be quite happy with the result taken since they didn't look that well and were 3:0 down till last fifteen minutes of the match, but managed to score two and again, look as a favorite to progress further.
Hosts have entered the match much better and simply were way more dangerous in attack taking the lead in the middle of the first halftime, but then also managed to triple up the lead thanks to goals within two minutes, in 71st and 73rd minutes. Polish side have recovered their hopes thanks to a reducement from Majewski in 75th minute, but also a late goal from Jevtic fromm the penalty kick in third minute of additional time. Lech Poznan have opened the new domestic season with a goalless draw at home against newly promoted Sandecja, in quite an open and equal game where only the goals were missing.
Haugesund opened that leg in the best possible way, by taking the lead in 24th via Abdi, while Hajradinovic and Ibrahim managed to improve their lead during first 75 minutes during which the Norwegian side was much better in attack and by far more focused. However, they couldn't keep up till the end and are now having far more complicated situation that what it looked like at some point during the previous game.
During the weekend they continued with positive results and took a 2:0 victory at home over Aalesund, thanks to goals from Ibrahim and Andreassen. The team now stands at fifth position with just three points less than third and Europa League placed Molde, being now without defeat in last eleven competitive matches. Central midfielder Eirik Maeland (2/0) remains injured for this one.
Polish side is a favorite now and they will have to attack pretty much early in the game. However, Haugesund looks really well in previous few weeks and it wouldn't surprise me if the game gets extra interesting here. Polish side may progress, but I don't see it being that easily.
