Chikhura vs Beitar Jerusalem

Beitar Jerusalem are coached by Benny Ben Zaken, a 35 year old relatively fresh manager. He has been successful during the time in charge, with a stellar 20-6-8 record, scoring around 2 goals per match in average. They finished 3rd place in Ligat Ha'Al in Israel, scoring the more goals than any other team. They will be able to continue the creativity on the final third with attacking midfield Georginho, and center forwards Jakub Sylvestr, who already with those names should cause harm in the opponents penalty area. Brazilian Claudemir is a solid midfielder, and in the defence there is Carlos Cuellar, Antoine Conte and David Keltjens as names to keep things compact. In the Isreal domestic league, they did show weakness in defense in particular.

It is a fluid team who can attack in several ways, having a good mix of young players and foreign players with the extra flair and finishing ability when needed.

Chikhura is one of the more organized teams from Georgia, with their playing style often making it difficult for opponents to penetrate. However, this works well in Erovnuli Liga, but teams in Europe have more tools in the box, and also more experience. Manager Soso Pruidze is still in charge, since 2008 and the team identity is thereby similar as previous years when they were defeated by Jagiellonia from Poland. Chikhura is a solid team with Georgian standards, with some future potential in attacking winger Irakli Bughridze (20 years old). Veteran 28 year old striker Giorgi Gadebava is one of the top scorers in Georgia, and is important for them with his strenght.

There is no home advantage for Chikhura here, as the game is played in Tbilisi. The crowd should not be significant, so do not count the home factor into the picture. Beitar, as a top team from Israel should be stronger than the 4th best team in Georgia at the moment. They have more tools to win the game and will be focused to grab one or two away goals. Chikhura will try to keep the game close for as long as they can and would be happy with a draw. However, when letting over the initiative to Beitar Jerusalem, they are likely to find the net due to their offensive skills, being the highest scoring team that Israel can offer. I lean towards an away victory here.

You are definitely not Georgian lover :D

  2. Sweem says:

I love the country, league, players. I follow this league more than Swedens actually. However they got bad draws. The only team that could do something is possibly Dinamo Tbilisi vs Dunajska Streda. Coinflip game. The odds trends suggest that Georgian teams will have a tough time, with strong odds drops

It is a nation on the rise though. National team wise. Club football got a long road remaining. Maybe Saburtalo can be competitive next year if they win the league.

  3. Stan says:

Yeah, I was kidding, I know you follow the Georgian league and their current form.

I don’t know a lot about the teams in Georgia, except Dinamo Tbilisi, but it looks like the situation is not very encouraging.. still good luck with the picks!

  4. Yakir E says:

Beitar is at poor position, coach has been changed to Guy Luzon(the only thing that was good in comparison to last season),all the best players sold:Claudmire, shechter, Ezra,Haister,Klayman,Goldberg. The team is in such poor atmosphere, there is a massive fight between the fans and the team owner, there is no money at the bank and no one know how they gonna survive.. the team bring two poor players from second league, that are don’t fit to this level of playing. Save your money and dont bet this game, there is too much mess in Beitar in this moment and it can easily go either way.

  5. Reuven Shimshilashvili says:

You will never make money betting on either of those teams. Chickhura and Beitar will do what is good for their pockets. Read between the lines. I know

Im georgian and im so mad at you that you hate georgians so much. Did you see torpedo won his match? im glad that u were wrong..

  13. tmk says:

Difficult to predict, Lech is in a massive slump in comparison to the last season. Conflict between supporters and board, a few key players have gone. Now they have been left with only one striker and because of that fact, they changed formation to 3-4-2-1, to which team is not fully familiar with.
From positive ones, there is a new manager, a former Lech player, who has been remembered as a brave and determined one. The only hope for Lech is that he has “injected” those features in his team during pre-season.
I expect low scoring win for Lech, but the odds are surprisingly low in my opinion. All in all I recommend you keep your coupon open for that match
