Botev vs Beitar Jerusalem by Isaiah
Botev Plovdid did well in the first leg taking a 1:1 draw away from home against Beitar Jerusalem and could be said, now have a great chances to improve further and reach the third qualifying stage after managing to score a goal on the road, but also to stay undefeated in a match where many of their fans also expected them to lose.
Israeli side entered the game better and took the lead already in eleventh minute with a goal from Kahila, however being much more concrete in continuation of the game. Bulgarian side tried to react and had some good offensive phases, reaching the equalizer in 73rd minute via Yusein. Their domestic season has also started, with the team losing out in front of own fans against Pirin Blagoevgrad last Sunday evening with narrow 1:0 result, despite being overall a better side in that one. Bulgarians already excluded Albanian side Partizani in the first round, with a 1:3 victory in Albania and a narrow 1:0 win in front of own fans.
Israelis were favorites in the first match and still remains with the chance to progress, however they were disapointed with the outcome of the first match, no question about it, since the team now can't be relaxed in the returning leg and actually needs to seek for a victory here.
Must be said that they were better in the first match and have created more, however without being concrete enough in attack. This is their second round already, as they previously progressed over Hungarian side Vasas, by 4:3 win at home and a 3:0 victory on the road. Their league is yet to start and that's one of the disadvantages for their team, since their competitive form surely isn't anywhere close to it's peak.
I see value with the home team here. They aren't obviously more quality side here, but I don't see the visiting side getting the desired result here. They need to improve so much in the offense, while in case they start attacking, they'll surely leave a lot of space for the counter attacks of the Bulgarian side.
