Maccabi Tel-Aviv vs Radnicki Nis (By: FairPlayBet)
I must go here against Serbian side. IMO Radnički Niš will hardly be able to avoid defeat on this tough visit to Israel.
Maccabi Tel Aviv is a team on much higher level of these two. They have very high UEFA ranking and are favorites not just to pass this round but also to go all the way and to secure qroup stage of Europa League. No wonder if we know this team was also in the Champions league group stage just three years ago.
The Serbian team on the other hand improves year after year but IMO they are not there yet. Plus, Radnički is completely without international experience. They were once in the SF of Europa League (Cup UEFA back then) but it was in long past. The last time they competed in Europe was more than 3 decades ago.
Maccabi has started by eliminating Hungarian Ferencvaros. It was 2:1 on aggregate, 1:1 away and then 1:0 here. The winning goal at home was scored in the first half injury time (in first of the three added minutes). It was really amazing goal after the long distance shot. That first half wasn't too great for Maccabi. They were without serious situations in front of Ferencvaros goal except the mentioned goal. Still, a lot affected the first leg score (1:1) so Maccabi was no in a hurry to rush anything. Later when Ferencvaros opened a lot more, it was all about Maccabi in second half with numerous great chances that ended either with excellent goalkeeper saves or with hitting post in two occasions.
Radnički has started qualifications with 5:0 aggregate win over team from Malta, 4:0 at home and then 1:0 away. Still, we shouldn't give credit to much to that cause it was really low quality opponent at the start.
What I like about Maccabi is the fact they have excellent goalkeeper. It's member of Serbian national team, former Crvena zvezda member, young but very talented Rajković. Maccabi also has Serbian coach, Vladimir Ivić. This fact could be nice advantage for host cause Ivić should know best what to expect from Serbian opponent. The truth is Ivić is out of Serbia for a while. He was earlier head coach in Greece (PAOK) but no matter, Ivić definitely knows well Serbian football.
By Ivić words he has complete squad available for today's match.
As for Radnički Niš, their head coach Nenad Lalatović won't be able to count on four players. Those are from earlier absences of suspended Aksentijević as well injured Babić, plus after game on Malta the injury list is longer for Haskić and Crnomarković.
