Eupen vs St Truiden by Isaiah
Eupen didn't have much luck last time out, even though the team played against a side that could be beaten, they walked away with only one point in a home clash against Lokeren which ended with a 2:2 result. Home side took the lead in 20th minute with a goal from Onyekuru, while the visitors replied just before the halftime whistle via Terki.
Similar story was seen in the second halftime, players of Eupen took the lead in 78th minute via Sylla, but the visitors found a way to reach the point, by scoring the equalizer two minutes before the full time with a goal from Straetman, after all it was a deserved pointer for them. Players of Eupen continued being undefeated, now for the third consecutive match, as they currently reside at 12th position, having only three points more than rock bottom placed Westerlo and the team is close to a must win situation. Right full back Timmemans (1/0) is injured, as well as defender Kenne (1/0).
St Truiden comes from yet another game where the team failed to get a victory, sixth time in a row, against Charleroi in front of their own crowd ending the clash with a 2:2 result. However, it could be said that the team deserved something more out of the game, but their opponents were rock solid in offense being way more concrete.
Visitors took the lead with a goal from Ninis in 16th minute, but the hosts responded only three minutes later via Peeters. Visiting side had more ball possession in the second half and again reach the leading goal, via Pollet in 58th, but again gave up the lead way too early - only four minutes later Pulido scored and equalizer. Even though it's sixth consecutive game without a three pointer, they at least broke a streak of two defeats, remaining now only a point above rock bottom placed Westerlo. Guests will miss defender Dalsgaard (0/0), but also goalkeeper Bossut (5/0) and midfielder Marrone (6/0).
The game comes as a wake up call for both sides. Both teams need a victory here badly a it would mean a lot to either of the teams. On the other side, their defensive lineups are close to terrible and I can see three goals here being scored in quite easy way.
