Empoli vs Trapani by Sunshine
Empoli started the season in a best possible way, having two victories out of two matches and are currently leading at the table. They were particularly good last season in the final rounds and it's not a surprise that we are seeing more of the same from them while their target this season is surely set to a promotion.
They are coming from a 2:1 victory over Palermo away from home, another team that should be fighting for the highest positions this season. Guests started the game much better and took the lead in fifteenth minute with a goal from Tavano, while the home side stood with a ten man since exclusion of N'Goyi who earned two yellow cards withing several minutes. Even so, hosts managed to equalize with a goal from Hernandez, but have struggled a lot to keep the ball in their feet with a man less, while the visitors exploited situation as Maccarone scored the winning goal in 68th minute. They did great in the preparation period and having in mind their victory over Latina 3:1 at the start of the championship, there is no doubt that they will be coming for another three points today as they welcome newly promoted Trapani. Home side coach should make no changes towards today's game as the hosts have no problems making the squad.
Trapani, on the other side, have also made a good start in the season having in mind that this is their debut in Italian Seria B. However, if we look at their first two matches, it's obvious that their goal will not be just a poor survival in the league and that the team has a lot of talent.
At the start of the season they surprised Padova with a 2:0 victory away from home, while they drew 2:2 in a home match against Pescara, another strong team. Interesting enough, all four goals in that match were scored by guests who managed to score two own goals, while midfielder Ciaramitaro from the home side got red carded near the end of the match. They managed to keep most of the players from previous season, adding some solid signings that should keep them safe from relegation this year. Guests will not be counting at midfielder Ciaramitaro who got excluded in previous game.
Despite good performances from visitors at the start of the season, they are still lacking quality when facing the best and in-form teams. Empoli is expected to win this one, going strongly decided into the season to promoted this time.
