Emmen vs Jong PSV by Meese
Emmen already played midweek (Tuesday) for the Dutch Cup but I do not think this will be a problem for them tonight. Anyway, the game was away to AFC Amsterdam, Emmen came back with the qualification to the next round of 32(2:3). They played mostly with main players, except three or four sub players.
Before the Cup game they had a difficult game away to NAC (2:2), a game that with little bit of luck they could go away with all three points. They received the 2:2 only a few minutes before full time. Generally Emmen is an improving side during the last two years. Coach Marcel Keizer fits perfectly to a very tied team. At home is their main strength, they already won over RKC 6:1 and Dordrecht 1:0 so far, losing only from Helmond to a very unlucky game for Emmen.
Left winger Erixon Danso (6/3), attacking midfielder Boy Deul (5/1) and veteran striker Marnix Kolder (7/3) will be missed tonight, but this does not worry me at all, as Emmen have Rick ten Voorde who can play the left wing easily and also very good replacements for the forward line like Arjen Hagenauw and Raymond Gyasi who plays perfectly to the right wing.
PSV U21 is still committing a lot of individual mistakes in defense. For sure this is their main problem and it is just cause they are a very young team. They lost easily against Sparta (0:3) and also very easy away to Volendam (3:0). I must admit that they maybe are in the level of some mid placed teams of this league, but the experience they are missing will cost them to most of the future games.
Emmen will approach the top of the standings, where they belong in my opinion, with a win tonight. They are facing a lower quality team, with no experience, and with no help from the first team of PSV.
