Elverum vs Nybergsund by 20Legend
Elverum has been superior in 2nd Division this season with 18-3-2 to show for after 23 games. That has given them 57 points which is ten points ahead of 2nd placed Ham-Kam. It has also given them the title and the honor of being promoted to OBOS-Ligaen next season with three rounds to go. The main reason to their success is simply that their team is complete at this level with both a strong defense and a strong offense. The goal difference of 59:8 in 23 games says a lot about the strength of this team. They are still unbeaten at home with 10-1-0 and 38:3 on goal difference.
Even though the promotion is secured, the coach has stated that Elverum will still be going for three points in the all remaining games. The season has been brilliant and the unbeaten record at home is going to be held. Midfielder Stian Lund (11/3) and Vegar Moen (17/2) are doubtful after picking up minor knocks on training last week and will be tested closer to kickoff.
Nybergsund has also enjoyed a great season with a current 3rd place with 39 points in 23 games. Their statistics shows 11-6-6 which should be enough to secure another season in 2nd Division. The new system makes the eight lowest teams be relegated this season, while the teams from 2nd down to 7th place stays up. Nybergsund has a margin of seven points down to 8th placed Brattvag which should be enough with only three games to go. They have also been one of the better teams away from home this season with 5-3-3 and 16:18 on goal difference. Midfielder Christoffer Solbakken (19/2) is doubtful, while striker Erlend Persgard (15/4) is injured.
The season is pretty much settled for both of these teams, but Elverum looks quite unbeatable at their own stadium. Nybergsund won the first meeting this season back in June (1-0), which gives Elverum a reason to take revenge as well. On the other side, Elverum has reached their goal to be promoted and it could affect their will to score many goals here. I think that it will be a narrow win for Elverum, but I also believe in less than four goals being scored in this match.
