Dynamo Kiev vs Stromgodset by 20Legend
Tippeligaen is just less than a month away at this point and most of the Norwegians teams participating are on training camps in warmer areas at this point. Stromsgodset arrived in Estapona in Spain last Saturday. After having completed the first training and acclimatized themselves, it is time for the first club friendly match against Dynamo Kiev. Stromsgodset has already begun their match-preparation with three games at La Manga, with two wins against Piast Gliwice (2-1) and Dinamo Zagreb (0-1) and one loss against Litex Lovech (1-0). They have also played a match against their future rivals for the top 3 positions next season, as Odd (1-2) defeated them in a close encounter on February 5th.
It has been some key-players being sold since the 2nd place in Tippeligaen last season. Three of their biggest profiles Gustav Wikheim (Gent), Jorgen Horn (Elfsborg) and Iver Fossum (Hannover 96) was all sold after last season. However, they have also gotten some interesting players as always with the return of Marcus Pedersen, who played the last half of the season last year, and Jonathan Parr from Ipswich. These two signings will be dominating for sure in Norway, but also keep up the attacking threat that Stromsgodset has been known for in recent years.
Their injury situation is looking good as well, as captain Lars Christopher Vilsvik returned to training on Sunday, after dealing with an injury since La Manga against Piast Gliwice. He felt well and was also participating fully on both the training to Monday and Tuesday, which makes him ready to start against Dynamo Kiev. Their coach Bjorn Petter Ingebregtsen has stated that it will be a tough opponent to meet and his lineup has been revealed already:
Espen Bugge Pettersen - Lars Vilsvik, Marius Høibråten, Gustav Valsvik, Jonathan Parr - Nana Boateng, Mohammed Abu, Martin Rønning Ovenstad - Flamur Kastrati, Marcus Pedersen, Mounir Hamoud.
Dynamo Kiev is also preparing them for a more important competition, but it is on a whole different scale than the Norwegian Tippeliga. The competition in Champions League and their opponents is Manchester City next Wednesday. They have also played a lot of friendlies during both January and February so far, but against various opponents. They have offcourse used various lineups as well, but this game will be of special importance for them. It is the last club friendly before their meeting with Manchester City next week and a strong lineup is therefore expected from the Ukrainians.
Although it is tough finding some more information about Dynamo Kiev towards this game, I am sure that it will involve many chances. The game is very important for Dynamo Kiev as it is their last chance to practice formations and tactics before Champions League. Stromsgodset is also using their current strongest lineup and it will be a very good chance for them to get high-quality match training towards the new season. At least three goals should be possible in my opinion.
