Dynamo Dresden vs Paderborn by Gustav
Dynamo Dresden drew away to Fortuna Dusseldorf in the last game (1-1). They played with good defensive organization, composure and concentration, and they did not abandon their plan even after the accepted goal. They balanced the game during whole second half and they were rewarded with the equalizer ten minutes before full time. Generally they were equal to Fortuna and deserved the point.
New coach Olaf Jansen focuses a lot on defense and till now he is doing a good job. The point away to Fortuna will surely improve their morale, as they are coming from seven consecutive games without a win in the league. Now they are in search of the first victory and finally they have some good news regarding their squad. Defensive midfielder Cristian Fiel and experienced key left winger Filip Trojan are both back in the squad. Only sub keeper Markus Scholz and midfielder Tobias Kempe will miss the game.
Paderborn won 1-0 at home against Karlsruhe in the last game. It was a terrible game with both teams unable to complete any attacking action, and Paderborn was fortunate enough to score to their only good action they created. As Karlsruhe did not find a single decent opportunity, Paderborn rightly took all three points.
Paderborn remains faithful to the overall plan till now to avoid relegation. They are competitive in their home ground and playing some very closed games with a few goals, but they are uncompetitive away from home with their defensive line to be mostly problematic. For today's game they have many problems to adapt their eleven. Main left back Thomas Bertels, defender Tim Welker, main defender Christian Strohdiek, left midfielder Daniel Bruckner, main right back Jens Wemmer, sub right back Michael Heinloth, defensive midfielder Markus Krosche, right midfielder Alban Meha and defender Markus Palionis are all sidelined for different reasons.
Dynamo Dresden fins Paderborn to the ideal time to take their first win in the league.
