Dortmund vs Gladbach by Sunshine
Dortmund came away with a 3:3 draw against Eintracht Frankfurt in the previous game. In the first half-time, their performance reminded of good old Dortmund from previous two seasons. Good control of the ball, creativity and 2:0 result were the outcome of the first half-time. In the second half-time they came out with the desire to score even more goals, but they didn't score in their own chances and faced up against much more aggressive opponent, finally claiming only one point.
With that point, they occupy only sixth position with two wins, two draws and one loss, surely something they didn't hope for at the beginning of the season. Strong self criticism was heard from their players and coach after the draw in Frankfurt and they claim that they are ready to bounce back with much better performances in next weeks. However, it seems like their biggest problem this season is that they easily concede goals.
Searching for a win and better performance this night, hosts aren't facing big problems making the squad as only injured player is right back Patrick Owomoyela.
Gladbach, on the other hand, is currently standing at tenth position with only one win, three draws and one loss after five rounds. However, their first and only victory this season happen in the first round and they are now on a five matches run (all competitions included) without a victory.
They are coming from a lucky 2:2 draw on the road against Hamburger, lucky because they scored the second goal in the first minute of extra time. Once again pretty poor performance was seen from them, with terrible defensive mistakes, not creative midfield and leaving too much space for opponents attackers. Hamburg also failed to score from the penalty kick finally being penalized later on. Martin Stranzl central defender is suspended after being sent off in previous game, while mail striker Luuk de Jong is injured. Meanwhile, doubtful players for this game are right back Jantschke and right midfielder Herrmann.
Hosts are sure favorites and everything but their easy win should be a surprise here. They are playing well, especially at home this season and after dropping the victory on the road in a poor way, they should bounce back with much better performance in front of their own fans. Gladbach has several problems with players and playing the way they did till now can't bring them anything positive against one of the strongest Bundesliga sides.
