Denmark vs Armenia by Sunshine
Denmark had a modest performance in a friendly match against Georgia few days ago, but still managed to get a 2:1 victory in a pretty hard way. In the first halftime, they were limited to defend and were 0:1 down in first minutes of the second half.
However, managed to overturn the things in last fifteen minutes of the game, woke up and got the victory in 89th minute of the match, showing in last quarter how the competitive matches should be played. Their start of the qualifications can't be considered as a successful one, as the team has 1-3-1 record practically getting only one win in first five rounds. Even so, their chances remain alive, as the second placed Bulgaria has four points more, but also one match more too. It means that this is a must win game for the hosts, as every other results would actually cost them of the second position. At the same time, it would be good if they could get a broad victory, to improve the goal difference that might be crucial in a battle for a play-off spot.
Atmosphere isn't the best as the coach punished several players due to their behavior. Midfielder Jorgensen is out for this game being suspended.
Armenia is coming from a very poor performance in their last match for the World Cup qualifiers, as they were defeated at their own ground by Malta with narrow 1:0 result.
Guests preceded in the first minutes of the match by exploiting a counterattack and from then on, had no particular problems reaching out the three points. Armenia's campaign for these qualifiers have been nothing but a disappointment till now as the team has 1-0-4 record and failed to build up on their good performances in previous European Championship qualifiers were they were even close to get the second place and play-off. All key players are fit and ready for this game, while the team should miss defensive Karlen Mkrtchyan and winger/striker Edgar Manucharyan.
It's time for Denmark to get an easier victory and there is no better opponent than totally out of form Armenians. This game is a last chance for the hosts to get back to the fight for the second position and there's no doubt they'll use it in a proper way.
