Crystal Palace vs Liverpool by Luke
After a good start in the season, it seems that Crystal Palace is now in a bad momentum, since the team has no victory in last three Premiership matches, while they have suffered defeats in two latest games. Team didn't have much chances last weekend when they visited Leicester and suffered 3:1 defeat, since their hosts seem to be in decent momentum.
Players of Leicester didn't look that impressive on the field, but still managed to get the lead once they pressed enough, via Musa in 42nd minute. Okazaki doubled up the lead in 63rd minute and everything was much easier for them since that moment, while the players of Crystal Palace also had their chances, but without much luck. Both teams have scored a goal in last ten minutes of the game, hosts via Fuchs and visiting side via Cabaye to reduce the deficit. The team is still in the middle of the table with eleven points, but will need to react soon in order not to get into the relegation trouble.
Forward Jonathan Benteke (1/0) and Loic Remy (0/0) are injured, as well as defender Pape Souare (3/0). Midfielder Jason Puncheon (8/0) will need to pass late fitness test being doubtful for now.
After few ups and downs early in the season, Liverpool now seems to be quite strong and in good form, what's most important. After nine rounds played, the Reds have six victories, two draws and just one defeat, sitting together with Arsenal and Manchester City at the first position at table.
Most recently, they won over West Brom Albion 2:1 at home last weekend, getting the victory in quite an easy manner. They opened the game well, controlled everything in the first halftime and deserved the double lead with goals from Mane and Coutinho. Visitors tried to react later on and managed to reduce the deficit, completely against the flow of the game since they scored a goal via McAuley, however without changing the result later on. Liverpool is undefeated in last ten matches in all competitions, having eight victories and two draws, coming also from a 2:1 home victory in EFL Cup during the midweek with rotated squad against Tottenham Spurs.
Defender Joe Gomez (no performance so far) and midfielder Sheyi Ojo (8/0) remain injured. Forward Divock Origi has some problems, but should be ready for this game.
Crystal Palace isn't in the best possible form, but the team remains very dangerous in front of home crowd, so I can see the home team scoring here. Liverpool, on the other side, remains big favorite here and should walk away with a three pointer, with the team alone being capable of scoring three.
