Crystal Palace vs Bournemouth by Shibby
Barclays Premier League action again for me in a game that will see Crystal Palace host Premier League new boys Bournemouth. The game will be played at Selhurst Park and will kick off at 19:45. The hosts head into the game on the back of a 1-0 cup win at Selhurst against a good Stoke City side. Palace have generally been difficult to break down and when I look at their work rate I can see why.
Manager Pardew seems to have settle things down at Palace and I think the cup win will have injected a lot of confidence into the team. Prior to that game they had lost 3 league games in a row, they were to some tough teams in Villa, Man City and Spurs, however, they didn't look like themselves and something was missing.
Palace have signed Adebayor and he should add more firepower to the Palace side that's scored just 24 goals from their 23 league game. However, I don't think he will give Palace too much extra in-front of goal.
Bournemouth on the other hand have started to find their feet, they currently occupy 16th in the table, just 4 points from relegation places. Bournemouth played well the other week vs Sunderland and to be honest I think they should have come away from the stadium of light with all 3 points, however, they didn't!! This concerns me as they need to turn these draws into wins to stand any chance of avoiding relegation.
Eddie Howe has done a great job at Bournemouth, however, this could be a job too difficult for him. He's done well with his major signings, him main one being striker Benik Afobe, he's scored 2 in 2 for Bournemouth in the league and has taken to life very well.
I can see this being a tight game, however, I think Palace's win on the weekend will have given them a huge and much needed boost. Therefore, I'll be going for Palace + 0 AH at a price of 1.70 with BetVictor. They are well priced for a victory, however, to protect a draw I'll use the AH market. Good Luck all.
